Another one I love is "A Bad Case Of Stripes." I know one first grade teacher that read it to her class every year on the first day- David Shannon has great books!
Wow School! is a cute book, again not like I expected. It was fun for my 2 & 4 year-old. It could almost be like an I Spy book.

Curious George's First Day of School is another CLASSIC of the Curious George Series. Curious George books are much better than the cartoon they've created - which is good too, but you know what they say..."The book is always better!"
I love the "How do Dinosaurs..." books! How Do Dinosaurs Go to School? is no exception. Always cute thoughts and pictures - entertaining for the adults and the kids. Teaches good manners and you learn what other dinosuars look(ed) like and their names.
